Hatha, Yin, Spine yoga
For me, yoga is not merely movement but a process of arrival—a return to my body, to inner stillness, and to the present moment. I wish to share this experience within a safe and accepting atmosphere.
I first encountered yoga about fifteen years ago in Singapore. I was quickly captivated by the wonderful environment, the experienced instructors, and the wide variety of class styles available. Kenny Meitei became my primary mentor during those early years; he radiated calm and discipline, teaching with a clear and accessible style. Alongside Hatha yoga, I grew to love the gentler, quieter practice of Yin yoga. To get closer to the roots of the tradition, I spent two months at an ashram in India. Subsequently, I studied under Dharma Mittra for two years in New York, where intense physical practice was seamlessly blended with spirituality.
Back home—following years spent working in construction—my focus shifted from mastering advanced poses toward spiritual nourishment, harmony, and the sense of security derived from body awareness and connecting with the body. Currently, I follow the meridian-based teachings of acupuncturist and anatomy specialist Rose Erin Vaughan, as well as the trauma-informed, somatic approach of Annie Au. I have completed the functional trainer and functional fascia training courses at the Feövenyessi Medical Center, as well as the spinal yoga teacher training program at Mandala Yoga Studio.
I believe that yoga strengthens not only the body but also our inner world. In my classes, I strive to create a supportive, calm space where you can slow down, connect with yourself, let go of tension, and move with ease and joy.
